Baghdad: French Foreign Minister Jean-No«l Barrault arrived in Baghdad today, kicking off his regional tour in the Middle East.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Barrault’s visit as part of his itinerary in the region.
The visit includes plans to travel to the Kurdistan Region, where Barrault will meet with various officials. The purpose of these meetings is to reaffirm France’s support for the Iraqi government amid ongoing regional challenges. The discussions are also expected to focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between France and Iraq.
