Baghdad: France’s Quentin Alªs won the Austrian Open 250 title, defeating Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik in straight sets in Saturday’s final. Alªs, ranked 83rd in the world, overcame the top seed and defending champion, Bublik, with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this victory marks the first ATP title for the 29-year-old Frenchman. As a result of his performance, Alªs is anticipated to rise to approximately 50th in the ATP rankings, which are set to be released on Monday. This achievement will bring him closer to his career-best ranking of 46th, which he achieved on June 30, 2025.
