Najaf:A coordinated effort by the Babil Intelligence and Security Directorate and the Babil Organized Crime Directorate has led to the arrest of a gang involved in counterfeiting US dollars in Najaf Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Colonel Yasser Salim Witwit, Director of the Organized Crime Office in Babil, revealed that the operation successfully lured the suspects and apprehended them during the act. The authorities discovered large quantities of counterfeit currency and printing stamps hidden in a house.

The police have transferred the suspects to the relevant authorities for further investigation, and the counterfeit items have been seized.
