Gaza Government Media Office Reports Extensive Damage and Casualties from Israeli Bombing

BAGHDAD – The government media office in Gaza has released updated statistics detailing the extensive damages and casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, now in its 44th day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, The office reported that the Israeli attacks have led to the destruction of 97 government buildings and 262 schools, with 65 of those schools rendered non-operational. The number of casualties has exceeded 30,000, with more than 75% being children and women. The media office also highlighted that three churches have been targeted during the attacks. There is an urgent call for opening the Rafah crossing to allow fuel supplies into hospitals, as dozens of ambulances are currently non-functional due to fuel shortages. Additionally, the office indicated that over 6,000 people are missing as a result of the bombings, including more than 4,000 children and women. The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that as of this evening, the death toll has risen to 12,415, with about 32,500 injured since the beginning of the comprehensive Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank that started last October 7.
