Baghdad: The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has denied reports regarding the imposition of a tax system on citizens and the prohibition of processing transactions in government departments until electricity and water bills are settled.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Secretariat emphasized that the government is continuing to implement its service and development programs for the benefit of all citizens. They stated that the rumors being circulated are part of defamation and media misinformation campaigns aimed at distorting facts and confusing public opinion.
