Kadhimiya: Detachments from the Explosives Control Directorate seized a large quantity of gold after receiving information about the presence of an abandoned safe.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate explained in a statement: “Thirty-eight gold bracelets and eight gold chains were found inside the safe, in addition to a large sum of money amounting to sixty-six thousand US dollars. Investigations revealed that the safe was stolen from a citizen’s home in the area.”
The directorate indicated that all the seized items were officially handed over to Kadhimiya Crime Control Office for necessary legal action.
