Baghdad: Gold prices experienced a decline on Tuesday, with spot gold falling by 0.4 percent to $4,428.54 per ounce. This drop comes as traders evaluate ongoing tensions in the Middle East and anticipate crucial US employment data expected this week, which may influence predictions regarding the Federal Reserve’s future monetary policy.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, US gold futures also saw a decrease, slipping by 0.1 percent to $4,477.20 per ounce. Last week, spot gold reached its highest point in over three months but then experienced a significant drop of 3 percent on Friday.
In the realm of other precious metals, silver saw a slight decrease of 0.2 percent to $66.42 per ounce in spot trading. Conversely, platinum experienced an increase of 0.4 percent, reaching $1,797.71 per ounce, while palladium remained stable at $1,355.08 per ounce.
