Baghdad: Gold prices, both foreign and Iraqi, experienced a decrease in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil on Wednesday. The wholesale price of gold in Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street market was recorded at 1.12 million Iraqi dinars per mithqal for 21-karat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold, with a buying price of 1.116 million dinars. This reflects a drop from 1.130 million dinars noted on Tuesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the selling price of 21-karat Iraqi gold was 1.090 million dinars per mithqal, with a buying price of 1.086 million dinars. In local jewelry shops, the selling price of 21-karat Gulf gold ranged from 1.120 million to 1.130 million dinars per mithqal, while Iraqi gold prices ranged from 1.090 million to 1.100 million dinars per mithqal.
In Erbil, gold prices also declined, with 22-karat gold selling for 1.17 million dinars, 21-karat gold for 1.117 million dinars, and 18-karat gold for 957,000 dinars.
