Diwaniyah: The Diwaniyah Investment Authority announced that the local government has directed the allocation of land for renewable (solar) energy investment projects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Diwaniyah Investment Authority, Razzaq Shabar, stated that “a meeting was held regarding the mechanisms for forming a high-level committee to nominate land for the purpose of establishing renewable (solar) energy plants, in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision.”

For his part, the Governor of Diwaniyah, Abbas al-Zamili, explained that “this step comes within the governorate’s plans to support clean energy projects and attract investments that contribute to strengthening economic development and providing job opportunities.”
