Diyala: Diyala Governor Adnan al-Shammari met with the Director General of the Central Electricity Distribution Company, Saad al-Jumaili, to discuss the state of the electricity grid in the province. During the meeting, held today at the Diyala Governorate building, they discussed the current state of the electricity system in the province and the most prominent challenges facing the power distribution sector. They also reviewed the province’s actual needs and ways to improve the supply and services provided to citizens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Governor emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the local government and the relevant departments in the Ministry of Electricity, and working to develop practical solutions that address bottlenecks and support projects to develop distribution networks. This, he said, would positively impact the stability of electricity supply throughout the province.

For his part, the Director General of the Central Electricity Distribution Company affirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Diyala Governorate, monitoring its needs, and working to address obstacles within available resources. This, he said, would contribute to improving the electricity situation and providing better service to citizens.

The meeting also emphasized the continuation of joint coordination and follow-up on service-related files concerning the electricity sector, in order to serve the people of Diyala and enhance the level of services provided to them.
