Karbala: The Governor of the Holy City of Karbala, Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, has initiated a new program titled “Educational Partnership” aimed at fostering collaboration between educational institutions. This was announced during an extensive meeting that included key figures such as the Director General of Education in Karbala, the Governor’s Advisor for Educational Affairs, the Head of the Teachers’ Syndicate, senior educational staff, founders of private educational institutions, and representatives from educational institutions associated with the holy shrines.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of the “Educational Partnership” initiative, which is being coordinated with the Directorate General of Education in Karbala. The initiative’s primary goal is to promote cooperation between private educational institutions and public schools, whereby each private institution will adopt one or more public schools. This adoption involves supporting these schools’ needs and improving their educational environment.

Governor Al-Khattabi highlighted the ongoing support from the Governorate for public schools through various service, renovation, and rehabilitation projects. These efforts are directed towards creating a conducive educational atmosphere for both students and teaching staff.

Additionally, the Governor addressed the concerns and challenges faced by educational institutions during the meeting. A consensus was reached for private educational institutions to play an active role in the literacy campaign, a key recommendation from the Higher Committee for Literacy, chaired by the Governor himself.
