Maysan: The Governor of Maysan, Habib Thahir Al-Fartousi, has approved the allocation of 1,583 residential land plots within the Al-Kahlaa District Municipality. As head of the committee responsible for distributing residential plots in the governorate, Al-Fartousi emphasized the significance of this initiative.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor detailed that the allocation process was conducted via a lottery system to ensure fairness and transparency among the eligible recipients. The distribution aimed to serve various social segments, including families of martyrs and wounded veterans, retirees, political prisoners, individuals who perished in the line of duty, and people with disabilities and special needs. Additionally, it catered to those receiving social welfare, widows, divorcees, unmarried women, holders of higher degrees, individuals covered by Article (140), displaced persons, migrants, and union members.
Al-Fartousi stated that this initiative aligns with the local government's strategy to tackle the housing crisis by providing residential plots to multiple social groups, following the approved regulations and instructions for land distribution in the governorate. He affirmed the ongoing efforts to expand distribution projects to other districts and sub-districts.
