Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s Office Launches Healthcare Support Initiative for Displaced Patients

Beirut: The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani in Lebanon announced the launch of a humanitarian initiative aimed at alleviating the healthcare burdens faced by many patients from displaced and impoverished families across Lebanon. This will be achieved by subsidizing a portion of the costs of medical procedures performed in hospitals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, an official source from the office in Beirut stated that "the initiative aims to contribute to covering part of the medical costs for eligible displaced patients in need, according to specific regulations and criteria, and after studying each case individually. This is especially important in cases where there are no insurance providers, or when the remaining financial difference after insurance contributions is substantial and difficult for the displaced patient to bear."

The source added, "An electronic form has been created to receive applications and streamline the application process, facilitating the review of cases. Those wishing to benefit from this initiative can fill out the form via the designated platform."
