A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today, unidentified gunmen assassinated a soldier by shooting him near his house in the village of Zuhairat on the outskirts of Abi Saida district, northeast of Baquba, which resulted in his death on the spot.

In a related context, a soldier was wounded in an ISIS attack on a military post on the outskirts of Jalawla district, northeast of Baquba.
