Muqdadiyah: A car driver was robbed by unknown gunmen in the Muqdadiyah district of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred when the gunmen stopped a Santafe vehicle on the outskirts of Muqdadiyah, which is located northeast of Baqubah. The assailants forced the driver out of the car, shot him in the leg, and proceeded to steal 20 million dinars from the vehicle. The attackers fled the scene and their whereabouts remain unknown.

The injured driver was subsequently taken to Muqdadiyah General Hospital for medical treatment. In response to the incident, security forces have been mobilized and have started reviewing surveillance camera footage in an effort to track down the perpetrators.
