Hillah: Unidentified gunmen attacked the office of Babylon Provincial Council member Safaa Razin in the Sadda al-Hindiya district north of Hillah late last night. The assailants threw a hand grenade, causing material damage to the office but fortunately resulting in no injuries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babylon Police Media Director Colonel Ammar al-Shammari confirmed the attack, stating that the perpetrators remain unidentified. The explosion caused significant damage to the office premises, raising concerns about security measures in the area.

Colonel al-Shammari further mentioned that the police have launched an investigation to ascertain the motives behind the attack and to identify those responsible. The incident has heightened tensions in the region, with local authorities urging residents to remain vigilant.
