Gaza city: Hamas condemned on Sunday the Israeli airstrike that targeted the central governorate of the Gaza Strip, considering its execution under the pretext of children playing with a kite to be a further escalation of crimes against the Palestinians.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a press statement, the movement said that “the targeted area is densely populated with residents and displaced persons,” accusing Israel of disregarding international humanitarian laws and conventions.

Hamas asserted that statements issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which include threats to target areas in the Gaza Strip and displace its residents, confirm “the premeditated intention to continue the aggression and proceed with plans of displacement and genocide.”
