Head of Counter-Terrorism Service and Kurdistan Minister of Interior Discuss Security Coordination


Baghdad: The head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Zaid Hoshi al-Moussawi, met with the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region, Rebar Ahmed. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the central government and the Kurdistan Region to address security concerns and terrorist threats.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service explained in a statement that the discussion revolved around several key security files. These included the development of coordination mechanisms, the exchange of information and expertise, and the strengthening of integration among security institutions. The aim is to effectively confront terrorist challenges, pursue remnants of terrorist groups, and cut off their sources of support.



Both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation and the unification of efforts. This collaboration is deemed essential to bolster the capabilities of security agencies in addressing challenges, as well as to consolidate security and stability throughout the country.
