Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Dr. Jabbar Jawdi, Director General of the Cinema and Theater Department, attended a significant memorial service this evening, marking the first anniversary of the passing of artist Iqbal Naeem. The event saw a large gathering of her students, colleagues, family members, and esteemed figures from the art and academic communities, all commemorating her contributions to Iraqi art.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Jabbar Jawdi delivered a speech highlighting the late artist’s extensive artistic and academic career. He emphasized her pioneering role in the Iraqi theater movement and her significant influence on students, colleagues, and admirers.

Dr. Jawdi concluded his speech with a prayer, seeking God’s mercy for Dr. Naeem and hoping for her acceptance into Paradise. He also wished her family and loved ones patience and solace, affirming that Dr. Iqbal Naeem’s achievements would continue to be remembered in Iraqi culture and art.
