Basra: The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayad al-Lami, visited the syndicate’s branch in Basra on Friday evening, accompanied by a delegation from the syndicate’s council. During his meeting with the head and members of the branch, al-Lami praised the role of Basra’s journalists and media outlets in promoting social peace and conveying a positive image of the province.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Lami called for the opening of journalism training courses for new members to develop their skills and journalistic capabilities. For his part, the head of the syndicate’s branch, Sadiq al-Ali, expressed pride in the visit, highlighting the Basra branch’s distinguished participation in provincial activities and its role in conveying a professional media message with complete transparency and impartiality.
The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate listened to the obstacles facing journalists in Basra and directed that they be addressed.
