Head Of The EU Monitoring Team: We Saw A Low Turnout Of Voters To The Polling Stations

Baghdad The head of the monitoring team of the European Union Mission to monitor the Iraqi elections, Viola von Cramon, announced that the polling stations witnessed a low turnout of voters in the general vote.

She said, in a press conference from inside one of the polling stations east of Baghdad today, Sunday, “We did not witness any violations in the polling stations that were seen and monitored.”

She added, “We were able to see a quiet day at the polling stations, but unfortunately we saw a low turnout from voters to the polling stations.”

She explained, “We did not witness technical problems or deficiencies in the technical equipment, and things are good.”
