Kirkuk The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Hassan Turan, called for keeping the security file in Kirkuk federally, as it is the only guarantee for the security of the province.

In a statement, Turan condemned the perpetration of this crime of targeting a number of members of the armed forces, stressing, “At a time when the Kirkuk governorate enjoys security and stability, terrorist elements appear on us from time to time to practice their cheap crimes in targeting the sons of our armed forces.”

The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front demanded the need to develop security performance and intelligence efforts and implement intensive campaigns to monitor terrorist movements and strike their sources, limit security in Kirkuk to the federal government and control the security voids with the provinces bordering Kirkuk by bringing in forces from the Iraqi army.

Turan called for an urgent investigation to be opened to uncover the circumstances of the terrorist incident, bring the perpetrators to justice, and cut off the hand of blind terrorism, praising the efforts made by the security services to ensure the security and safety of citizens.
