Health Minister Emphasizes the Importance of Strengthening Joint Arab Cooperation in Light of Health and Epidemiological Changes

Tripoli: Health Minister Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi emphasized the importance of strengthening joint Arab cooperation in the health sector and unifying efforts to confront current health challenges, especially in light of health and epidemiological changes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session will discuss a number of priority health issues, including supporting the health sector in the State of Palestine, developing primary healthcare and family medicine, utilizing the expertise of expatriate Arab healthcare professionals, strengthening public health services in the context of refugees and displacement, establishing a regional Arab center for applied epidemiology, investing in human resources in the health sector, unifying Arab efforts to combat drug abuse, and enhancing cooperation in the fields of health, environment, and health emergencies.

The meeting will also address mechanisms for joint Arab cooperation, follow up on the activities of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, discuss several joint health initiatives and programs, and determine the date and venue for the next session of the Council.
