Baghdad: Health Minister Abdul-Hussein al-Moussawi has initiated a new approach to address the needs of patients, citizens, and ministry staff by directing the simplification of procedures and ensuring swift responses to humanitarian appeals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister has begun receiving hundreds of patients and citizens at the ministry headquarters. During this reception, he reviewed numerous medical and humanitarian cases and instructed specialized medical teams to follow up and take necessary actions to provide healthcare and treatment. The meeting saw the attendance of the ministry's undersecretaries, several directors general, and other relevant officials.

The minister also paid attention to the requests and appeals from both citizens and staff from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He directed departments to streamline processes and expedite their responses, improving the level of health and humanitarian services offered.

Minister al-Moussawi emphasized that dedicating Wednesdays to receiving citizens and patients is part of an effort to enhance direct communication with the Iraqi people. He assured that the Ministry of Health remains open to all citizens from various governorates to receive their requests and appeals, actively working to address and meet their humanitarian needs.
