Hezbollah Launches Missile Barrages at Israeli Targets Including Safed and Artillery Positions

BEIRUT: Hezbollah has declared that it executed multiple missile attacks on various Israeli targets including the city of Safed, the settlement of Yiftah, and artillery positions of the Israeli army. The group claims these actions were in retaliation to the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hezbollah’s official statement detailed the scope and reasoning behind the attacks. “In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the barbaric Israeli invasion of cities, villages, and civilians, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance bombed today, Wednesday, the occupied city of Safed with a large missile barrage, the Israeli enemy artillery position in Dalton with a missile barrage, and the Israeli enemy artillery position in Dishon with a missile barrage. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance also targeted the Yiftah settle
ment with a missile barrage.” The statement underscores the group’s stance as a retaliatory measure against what it calls the “barbaric Israeli invasion.”

The recent escalation in attacks highlights the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, which has historically seen periods of intense military confrontation. This series of attacks particularly notes an increase in tensions in the region, suggesting a possible escalation of conflict if retaliatory actions continue.
