Baghdad: Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi al-Hasnawi, Chairman of the Supreme National Authority for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, welcomed Dr. Hussein Zolfaghari, the Vice President and Secretary-General of the Anti-Narcotics Authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir al-Shammari, and their high-level delegation, at the Ministry of Health headquarters on Wednesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister al-Hasnawi emphasized that the visit marks a significant turning point in the cooperation between Iraq and Iran. He highlighted the importance of unifying efforts and integrating roles between health and security institutions in both countries to build a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to address serious challenges, specifically the drug scourge.
