Baghdad Former MP Hisham Al-Suhail confirmed that accepting the resignation of Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi is a new complication in the political scene.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): Regardless of the significance of submitting the resignation and including it within the paragraphs of the next session for voting, its acceptance will not serve the current political process.

Al-Suhail called on the MPs not to vote on the resignation because it would lead to more complexity in the political scene.

Al-Halbousi had announced his resignation, which will be presented to a vote in tomorrow’s session, Wednesday.
