House of Representatives Postpones Session Indefinitely Due to Lack of Quorum


Baghdad: The Council of Representatives has decided to postpone its session, originally scheduled for today, Wednesday, until further notice due to the inability to meet the required quorum.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this marks the fourth instance where the Council of Representatives has had to delay its session because of the lack of quorum. First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, had previously urged Members of Parliament to attend the session, meet the quorum requirements, and actively engage in voting on more than ten significant laws impacting various segments of Iraqi society.
