Baghdad: The Yemeni Ansar Allah group (Houthis) threatened today to target any ships belonging to companies dealing with Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, as part of what it called the fourth phase of its military operations against Israel. The group announced an escalation in its military efforts, emphasizing its intent to disrupt maritime activities linked to Israeli ports.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Houthis declared on the X platform that their forces would begin implementing the fourth phase of the naval blockade. This phase specifically targets all ships associated with companies that have dealings with Israeli ports, irrespective of the company’s nationality. The group asserted its capability to strike anywhere within its reach, employing missiles and drones against identified targets.

The statement issued by the Houthis urged companies to immediately cease their transactions with Israeli ports. It warned that ships linked to such dealings would be targeted, highlighting the group’s determination to extend its influence over maritime routes within its operational range. The Houthis’ announcement marks a significant intensification in their ongoing conflict with Israel, as they continue to leverage military strategies to apply pressure on international maritime commerce connected to Israeli interests.
