Sulaymaniyah: Hundreds gathered in the center of Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, in support of the Syrian Kurds. Erbil also witnessed large popular demonstrations in front of the US consulate building, in support of the Syrian Kurds.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these demonstrations reflect a significant level of solidarity among the Kurdish communities in Iraq with their Syrian counterparts. The gatherings in both cities were organized to express support and draw attention to the ongoing situation faced by Syrian Kurds.

In Sulaymaniyah, the demonstrators assembled in the city center, marking their presence with chants and banners. Meanwhile, in Erbil, demonstrators chose the US consulate building as their site of protest, aiming to appeal to international actors for greater support and intervention.
