Karbala: Educational cadres in Diwaniyah and Karbala began a strike in front of the Education Directorate building in the two governorates, demanding that the central government increase their salaries and allocate residential land for them. Meanwhile, most schools witnessed the suspension of official work due to the absence of teaching staff.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the teachers have taken this step as a measure to pressurize the government into addressing their demands.
