Baghdad: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) conducted a draw on Saturday evening to determine the numbers assigned to political entities, alliances, and independent candidates participating in the 2025 Iraqi parliamentary elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the draw ceremony took place at Al-Mansour Hotel in central Baghdad. The event was attended by representatives from alliances, parties, and independent candidates, alongside local and international media outlets and monitoring organizations.

The Commission announced that numbering for the draws would begin from 201 and go up to 350, with the exclusion of number 256. The draw included 31 alliances, 38 political parties, and 79 independent candidates, consisting of 23 candidates for general seats and 53 candidates for minority quota seats.
