Baghdad Head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed that: consensus will be present at the level of acceptance of announcing the final results of the elections.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that: All indications indicate that consensus will be present at the level of acceptance of announcing the final results of the elections.

Al-Shammari added that the recent developments that occurred from the friction and the attempt to assassinate the Prime Minister may force most political forces not to escalate and accept the results.

He explained that: Acceptance of the results is because there is no possibility of repeating the elections and re-counting and comprehensive manual counting, and for this political consensus will be a catalyst for acceptance of the results.

He pointed out that: If there is no consensus, there may be an escalation of demonstrations and sit-ins that will not descend into an open clash.

The Electoral Commission is scheduled to announce soon the final results of the early elections that took place on the tenth of last month.
