The Iraqi Media Network announced the launch of the official broadcast of the national Al-Iraqiya Syriac channel, this evening, Saturday, coinciding with the advent of the Assyrian-Babylonian-Chaldean New Year (Akitu).

The launch process was attended by: the representative of the Prime Minister, the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, the Chaldean Patriarch of Iraq and the world, Louis Sacco, the Minister of Immigration, Evan Faik, the Chief of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Kamel Al-Dulaimi, the head of the executive body of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Moayyed, representatives of Christian endowments, and representatives of the community and the Chaldeans, Assyrians and Syriacs.
