In the presence of Al-Lami, the fifteenth scientific conference held locally and the fourth internationally for the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad

Baghdad The work of the fifteenth scientific conference, locally and fourth internationally, of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad began this morning, which is being held under the title “Media Employment of Modern Technologies in Light of International Changes “, with the participation of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists Moayad Al-Lami and a group of Arab researchers, in cooperation With Al-Mustaqbal National University College.

The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, blessed the convening of the conference, which deals with and discusses important issues, identifying the exceptional progress witnessed by media science.

In his speech, he said: The College of Mass Communication is a pioneering college in the country and has contributed to strengthening the major media institutions in the world with specialists and professionals. Indeed, many of its graduates have become media leaders, whether inside or outside Iraq.

He pointed out: the great role of the College of Mass Communication and its graduates in society and its direct impact on drawing awareness and dialogue policies among the people of society in general, noting that the College of Mass Communication is one of the discreet colleges that make distinguished graduates.

Al-Lami affirmed his support for the college’s relentless steps to improve the reality of the Iraqi media, noting that the doors of the Journalists Syndicate are open to the college’s students and professors.

For his part, the head of the conference, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ammar Taher, said: The most important thing that distinguishes media from the rest of the other human sciences is its association with digital technologies and technological developments.

He added: The technical acceleration has made media applications develop tremendously, which calls for the necessity of analyzing them and explaining their repercussions, as it means following the data of the era in terms of means, devices and innovations, and applying its modern uses and benefiting from it, including its effects in the field of information and communication.

For his part, the President of the University of Baghdad, Mounir Hamid Al-Saadi, said that it is a pleasure for the fourth conference of the College of Scientific Media to be held internationally, with the participation of researchers from various Arab countries, to find a kind of intellectual and scientific to discuss the massive and rapid development in the field of media at the digital and technical levels.

He expressed his hope that the research participating in the conference would find its place in the international community, and that the recommendations and outcomes of the conference would be of real benefit to the media decision-maker in the country.

He pointed out that the University of Baghdad is proud today of its scientific contributions, especially in scientific publishing, as it was able to enter a number of global capacities and achieve important indicators in them.
