Baghdad: The Independent High Electoral Commission has announced the total number of candidates who will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections across Baghdad and the governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the commission disclosed that a total of 7,926 candidates have registered for the elections. Of these, 5,701 are males and 2,225 are females.
