Mumbai: An Indian ship sank after being hit by a projectile near Yemeni waters, an Indian minister announced. All crew members aboard the ship have been reported safe.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, media outlets quoted the Indian Minister of Shipping on Tuesday, stating, "The ship sank after being struck by a projectile, causing it to capsize and sink." The minister further informed that the incident prompted a swift response from the Yemeni coast guard, who successfully rescued all 14 crew members from the distressed vessel.
