Manama, Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani received Planning and Organisation Director at the Department of the Information Technology Mohammed Ibrahim Ashoor, who among the 12 finalists of the Government Innovation Competition ‘Fikra’, which was launched by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Assistant Undersecretary for Control and Resources Adulaziz Al Ashraf was present.

The minister was briefed about Ashoor’s innovative idea “Expertise”. A national platform which allows Government employees to share their expertise and time in accomplishing certain tasks and collect points.

The national platform aims to reduce operations expenditure at different public entities, enhance employees’ productivity and proficiency and foster their creativity and skills.

Al Zayani praised the innovative idea, hailing youth innovative spirit and pioneering ideas, directing to implement the “Expertise”, platform which would benefit the ministry’s employees.
