Baghdad: The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced the arrest of a drug dealer, stating that the judiciary had sentenced him to death after seizing 1,350 LSD patches and large quantities of poisons. The INSS stated in a statement that, in a qualitative operation, the Iraqi National Security Service arrested one of the most dangerous drug dealers in Baghdad, following careful intelligence monitoring. The operation resulted in the seizure of 1,350 LSD patches, more than 12 kilograms of marijuana, 800 grams of cocaine, in addition to 1,850 narcotic pills and drug paraphernalia.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the INSS explained that the accused was arrested red-handed, referred to the Third Karkh Court, and sentenced to death in accordance with Article 27 of the Anti-Narcotics Law.
