Baghdad: The Federal Integrity Commission has issued a warning to candidates, cautioning them against the exploitation of government departments and state services for their election campaigns. This move underscores the commission’s dedication to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Integrity Commission has conducted meetings in the governorates of Nineveh, Kirkuk, and Anbar. These meetings involved discussions with offices of the governorates, municipal and water departments, and various ministries, including Reconstruction, Housing, Oil, Electricity, and Labor. Additionally, oil companies and the Independent High Electoral Commission in Anbar were part of these discussions. The primary objective of these meetings was to prevent the misuse of state resources, avoid influencing voters improperly, and ensure that department directors are not engaged in campaign activities.

The commission has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process. To facilitate this, it has provided multiple channels for reporting any electoral violations, including a toll-free number (5080), in-person submissions, informants, and email communication. Through these measures, the commission aims to actively monitor and address any deviations from the established electoral guidelines.
