Baghdad: Detachments from the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency (Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism units in Najaf and Baghdad/Karkh) arrested the suspect in the earlier murder and burning of his wife in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the agency stated in a press release: "This operation was carried out based on precise intelligence and field surveillance, enabling agency detachments to arrest him in Baghdad/Karkh. He was then handed over to the competent investigative authorities to receive his just punishment."
