Sulaymaniyah: The Intelligence and Security Directorate of the Ministry of Defense successfully apprehended two terrorists in the governorates of Sulaymaniyah and Diyala on Friday. The arrests were part of a strategic operation directed and supervised by Minister of Defense, Thabet Al-Abbasi, as part of ongoing efforts to conduct precise intelligence operations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security within the Ministry of Defense carried out these operations using accurate intelligence information. The Sulaymaniyah Intelligence and Security Directorate was able to capture one terrorist who had previously escaped from the judiciary. This individual had an outstanding arrest warrant issued under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law and was apprehended while in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

Additionally, the Diyala Intelligence and Security Directorate arrested another individual in Baqubah District, Diyala Governorate. This person was also wanted by the judic
iary for involvement in terrorist activities and had an arrest warrant issued under the same anti-terrorism statute. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and both suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for further action.
