Intelligence and Security Forces Dismantle Human Trafficking Ring in Babylon

Babylon: The Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense announced the dismantling of a human trafficking ring of men and women in Babylon. A joint force from various security departments successfully carried out the operation, which resulted in the arrest of multiple suspects involved in the illegal activity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted following precise intelligence information and thorough follow-up by the Director General of Intelligence and Security. The Director of Intelligence and Security in Babylon directly supervised the mission, which involved collaboration between the Babylon field intelligence and security detachments, specifically the Mahawil Intelligence and Security Office, and the Babylon Anti-Human Trafficking Department.

The coordinated efforts culminated in an ambush that led to the arrest of the gang members, comprising two men and four women, in the city of Hilla. The operation was executed with the necessary judicial approvals, ensuring that all actions were in strict compliance with legal protocols. Legal measures are currently being taken against those arrested, in accordance with the law, to address the criminal activities they are accused of.
