Baghdad: Intelligence and security forces have successfully apprehended a kidnapper and several drug dealers and traffickers in the regions of Baghdad and Muthanna.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense announced the operation, detailing that detachments from the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate executed separate duties leading to the arrest of the individuals involved in drug dealing, trafficking, and kidnapping. These operations were conducted in various areas across Baghdad, targeting those with arrest warrants issued under Articles 28, related to drugs, and 421, concerning kidnapping. Legal measures have been initiated against the suspects, who have been referred to the competent authorities for further action.

The statement further elaborated that the Muthanna Intelligence and Security Directorate, utilizing precise intelligence information, managed to capture a drug dealer in the act. This arrest underscores the ongoing efforts by the intelligence and security forces to combat crime and maintain order in the region.
