Rafah: Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on Saturday targeting civilian and residential sites in several governorates in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with widespread demolition operations targeting buildings. A field source in Rafah said: “Israeli warplanes launched violent raids on the eastern areas of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, targeting residential neighborhoods and civilian sites.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, two Israeli tanks were also reported advancing toward the center of Rafah city, amid heavy artillery shelling targeting the vicinity of the “Abbad al-Rahman” Mosque and al-Faluja Street in the al-Janina neighborhood, east of the city. Shells also fell in the vicinity of the Awad Tower and al-Faluja Street in the same neighborhood, causing significant material damage.

The Al-Jneina neighborhood was subjected to a new attack with a series of airstrikes, while fires broke out in a house as a result of the continuous shelling. The raids also targeted the Deir Yassin area of the Al-Jneina neighborhood, where three civilians were injured by the bombing of an agricultural tractor.

Israeli gunboats directed machine gun and artillery fire toward the coast of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing attacks on coastal areas. In the Khan Yunis area, two civilians were killed and others were injured when Israeli aircraft targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the Qizan al-Najjar area.

Israeli shelling continued on the southern areas of Khan Yunis, with aircraft launching a new raid targeting the vicinity of Street 5 in the city. In Beit Lahia and the Tunnel, the Israeli army carried out large-scale demolitions in the village of Umm al-Nasr, east of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, where Israeli forces blew up a number of residential buildings. A fire also broke out in a house in the Beit Lahia area as a result of Israeli shelling, causing extensive material damage.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli forces targeted the vicinity of the Netzarim area, west of the town of Al-Mughraqa in the central Gaza Strip, where intense artillery shelling was launched on the area.
