Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari has issued directives to implement necessary measures aimed at reducing traffic accident rates across various provinces.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister chaired a meeting on Monday, bringing together multiple ministry leaders and police commanders from the provinces of Babylon, Diyala, Salah al-Din, Kirkuk, Anbar, and Nineveh via video conference. This meeting served as a platform to review and discuss the security and crime situations in these provinces for the month of February. The agenda included evaluating the overall number of recorded incidents, the percentage of cases resolved, and assessing the progress of activities and duties carried out.
The statement from al-Shammari's media office elaborated that the minister emphasized the importance of implementing necessary measures to reduce accidents, with a specific focus on traffic incidents, fights, and other such occurrences. The meeting further addressed the latest security developments and the steps taken to enhance stability in the region.
