Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari has directed the lifting of the alert status starting this afternoon, with units returning to their normal operational state. This directive follows the conclusion of the Arab Summit, which had prompted heightened security measures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Al-Shammari had earlier announced the success of the security services in ensuring a secure environment for the summit. He emphasized that this accomplishment is a significant source of pride for the Ministry of Interior, highlighting the substantial efforts made for an event of such magnitude, which takes place only every 10 to 15 years.
