Samarra: Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari on Saturday called for maintaining the highest levels of vigilance and caution. In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the interior ministry said Al-Shammari continued his field tour in Salah al-Din province, visiting the Samarra command where he was briefed on its operations in the presence of a number of commanders and officers. He also reviewed troop deployments and assigned security duties within the sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that the minister issued a number of key directives, foremost among them intensifying intelligence efforts and maintaining maximum vigilance within the area of responsibility. He also stressed the importance of strengthening relations with citizens, providing full support to them, and adhering strictly to military discipline and the law to ensure the sustainability of the security stability achieved in the city.
