Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior has made a significant announcement, stating unequivocally that “any drone launched without authorization will be treated as an act of terrorism.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Miqdad Miri, who heads the Public Relations and Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, addressed the media in a press conference. During the briefing, he revealed that authorities have shut down 71 fake offices that falsely claimed affiliation with the Popular Mobilization Forces. In a related security measure, more than half a million weapons have been registered by the ministry.

Major General Miri further elaborated on the steps taken to ensure national security by announcing the establishment of a comprehensive database that now includes details of six million weapons. This move is part of broader efforts to regulate and monitor weapons within the country, aiming to prevent misuse and enhance public safety.
