Interior Ministry Refutes Claims of Infiltration from Syrian Border

Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior has officially denied any recent infiltration attempts from the Syrian side across the Iraqi-Syrian border. This declaration came in response to circulating reports and videos suggesting such activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement addressing a video that had been shared on social media platforms. The video allegedly showed individuals from the Syrian side trying to breach the concrete wall dividing the two nations. The Ministry clarified that the footage was not captured on Iraqi borders but likely originated from another neighboring country, as evidenced by the size of the concrete blocks shown in the video.

The statement further emphasized that no infiltration attempts have been recorded. The Ministry attributed this to the stringent measures enforced by the Border Guard Command and other security forces dedicated to safeguarding the nation's borders from unauthorized crossings.
